my two year old son, at the time he was 11 mos old, had a laceration to his EYE about 1 inch in length. as i ran into the hospital, the lady at the er desk made sure to show and fill out a form stating the trauma and immediate response from a doctor. obviously just to calm my nerves, because it took a total of 6 hours ... SIX HOURS just to get back to get to a room, another hour just to be seen with one more hour and a half waiting to be released. and to top it off i started walking around while the doctor prepared to stitch him up, impatient, i looked down at the floor and behind the door were 2 open needle/suringes laying on the floor in a pile of dirt!!! this hospital is in need of everything from workers, to owner, to regulations. i will drive anywhere in the state, or out of state, on my death bed, before i ever walk back into this hospital.
